Britain’s Ben Maher, winner of team gold and individual silver at the 2013 Euro, reigning Olympic champion, also participated as did the Scott world champion, Scott Brash.

And the German duo Ludger Beerbaum and Christian Ahlmann, European team vice-champions.

For the women, several American riders had booked their tickets for Paris: young Reed Kessler, the hottest up-and-coming talent in the sport, the gifted Jessica Springsteen and her coach Laura Kraut, Olympic team champion in 2008, and Jessica Gates, daughter of Bill.

Meanwhile, Gucci launched their latest campaign “Forever Now” featuring their ambassadress of the brand, Charlotte Casiraghi in a tribute to Gucci’s classic bamboo bag.

Shot by the legendary Bruce Weber on his home turf, Montauk, on Long Island the campaign – and its song – is a tribute to  free spirits and style.
