Qatar Prix de l’Arc du triomphe

as last year

Europe’s greatest horse race – Prix de l’Arc du Triomphe – was once again won by Trêve with (once again) Thierry Jarnet in the saddle.

The name of four-year old filly of Motivator now sits alongside Ksar (1921 and 1922), Motrico (1930 and 1932), Corrida (1936 and 1937), Tantieme (1950 and 1951), Ribot (1955 and 1956) and Alleged (1977 and 1978) as the only dual winners of L’arc du Triomphe.

More dreams are still ahead. Less than a week after Trêve’s victory it was announced that she’ll stay in training in Criquette Head-Marek’s stable for the 2015 season instead of going to stud which, in theory, could lead to her third win in the Arc.

A tall order, however, what great news for the sport that fans get to see this legendary horse for yet one more season.
